9. What Tests Will Oliver Face In Russia? (And Are The Flashbacks Really Going To Be Good This Year?!)

It's only one episode in, so best not to get ahead of ourselves, but so far the Season 5 flashbacks are rather promising.

Taking the action to Russia - to build on the promise Oliver made to Taiana last year - it's finally going to show us how Oliver became a member of the Bratva.

There's some great action here, much darker and more violent than we've seen from the show in a while, and interesting setup for the weeks ahead as Oliver prepares for initiation. On top of that, it clearly parallels the main story in an effective way, while being interesting itself. And best of all, there's Anatoly, whose presence is very welcome.

Will the flashbacks continue to be good going forward, or will they once again be a weak point of the show? In terms of story, what's next for Oliver? We know he'll succeed, but just what will he have to do?
