8. The 2024 Newspaper

It's safe to say that Crisis On Infinite Earths is one of the stories associated with Barry Allen the most, so it should come as no surprise to learn that it was referenced as early as The Flash's pilot episode.

Following Barry's first successful mission as the Scarlet Speedster, Harrison Wells (later revealed to be Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash) entered the Time Vault and accessed a future newspaper article. The article had an image of The Flash on it, and its headline read: "Flash Missing: Vanishes In Crisis".

Of course, the mere mention of the word "Crisis" in a DC property was enough to excite us comic book fans beyond words, but we weren't really aware of how significant this newspaper headline would become - as it would continue to pop up throughout the show's succeeding seasons, with minor details varying depending on how much the timeline was messed with.

However it unfolds in the future, there is no doubt about it, the Arrowverse's Crisis starts and ends with this newspaper headline.
