It's been rumoured that Marvel and Netflix have set the release date for Daredevil Season 2, and wouldn't you know it, it's scheduled for March 25th - aka the day that two of DC's biggest icons go to war in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. For many, this news could fire up a fresh batch of DC/Marvel rivalry, and for others, well... they'll realise that it's really not that big of a deal. Although it's a nice twist of irony - what with Daredevil's crimson cowl formerly being inhabited by Ben Affleck, who is now infamously about to don the bat ears (and bat-everything else) for DC. I'd wager Marvel knows that fact, with their Head of TV Jeph Loeb's tongue firmly being planted in his cheek as he gave the order for that release date. The ability for the release of thirteen episodes of television on one day to put a dent in Warner Bros' box office takings for BvS is frankly unlikely, as fans of both Marvel and DC can easily both binge on Daredevil and catch the Dawn Of Justice at their local multiplex on the same weekend. It really wouldn't be that hard. No, I'd wager this is just a cheeky flip of the bird from Marvel, and it is pretty funny, to be fair. Just be on the lookout for a lot of arbitrary comparisons between the two come the end of March. Daredevil Season 2 and Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice are both released on 25th March 2016.
