2. Gotham's White Knight

When Kate found herself kidnapped by the unhinged Alice, the pair ended up talking about the former's father (who may also be Alice's father, but who really knows at this point?) Jacob Kane, with Alice claiming that he "thinks he's Gotham's White Knight".

Now, White Knight is obviously a term used to contrast Dark Knight, insinuating that Jacob is trying to spread hope at a time without Batman, but it's also another possible reference to The Dark Knight as, during the 2008 film, Harvey Dent was also referred to as Gotham's White Knight.

Let's just hope that Jacob doesn't suffer a similar fate.
