Better Call Saul: 10 Best Episodes So Far
10. Mijo
Going back to the halcyon days of series 1, back when the show had moments of drama mixed with a lot of dark comedy. Well, we're all laughing a lot less now because of the severity of pretty much every situation going on.
But, back then when Jimmy was running a quick con with his two-skateboarding companions, little did he know that he was about to run into his first Salamanca. Not the most stable one either, and as Tuco goes about deciding just how to kill Jimmy and the boys for trying to scam his Grandmother, Jimmy is rescued by one Nacho Varga.
This new kid Nacho seems to have some pull with Tuco and convinces him not to kill a lawyer as it would be bad for their anonymity. Agreeing with Nacho, Tuco decides to just kill the boys instead, Jimmy then talks them down from death to a leg-breaking.
The episode is downright tense but hilarious too, and it marked the first guest appearance by a Breaking Bad character in Tuco Salamanca. The fan-favourite was every bit as insane as we remembered and was more than just a moment of lip-service to the original show.
It also marked the first appearance of Nacho Varga, who has since become one of the greatest characters in the Bad universe.
