Hooray! Todd article!

There are no TV shows like BoJack Horseman, whether in terms of the real issues tackled, the spectrum of feeling brought out of an audience, or the fact that it is populated by a healthy mix of humans and anthropomorphic animals.

There is an incredible balance in the series between the incredibly powerful and often dark stories and tone, and the delightfully silly aspects. These are so important in offsetting the emotionally draining side of BoJack Horseman, and no one does it better than Todd Chavez.

Voiced by Aaron Paul, Todd brings a certain comic relief to BoJack Horseman that grew to be more and more essential over the years. Whether it is a classic Todd shenanigan, or even if he is just in the background for a funny remark, he is one of the most important, and most popular characters in the entire show.

However, he is not just limited to making you laugh. He was built as an incredibly deep character over the years, and had his fair share of big moments too. Despite being a vital cog in the machine throughout the entire run of the show, there are certain episodes in which he shines more than others.

10. Live Fast, Diane Nguyen (S1E5)

Years before the events that take place throughout BoJack Horseman, Todd found himself sleeping on the titular character’s couch after a Halloween party, and simply never left. He was essentially an extended guest of the house, but never an equal with BoJack in terms of being roommates.

This is probably for the best, considering what he managed to do when left alone. As BoJack left L.A to go to Boston with Diane, Todd managed to have one of his greatest misadventures ever as he came up with his brilliant get rich quick scheme.

Thanks to a celebrity tour bus getting confused between houses, Todd started offering tours of the house as if David Boreanaz lived there. Anything labelled BH all of a sudden stood for Boreanaz House, BoJack’s face was taped over in favour of Boreanez’s, and he even built a fake Boreanez to show tourists from afar.

When Princess Carolyn got involved, Todd all of a sudden became overwhelmed. Within a day, they had a gift shop set up, he was using far from legal offshore bank accounts in the Cayman Islands, and was barrelling towards spending some quality time in prison.
