Well hello there, Bran... The very first Game of Thrones Season 6 trailer has dropped, and excitement for the next run of the show has officially been reignited, with Bran Stark and the Three-Eyed Raven heading up the charge. Bran, played by Isaac Hempstead-Wright, saw his entire story dropped from Season 5, but he will return in April alongside the mysterious Raven, Meera Reed, and the much-missed Hodor. The teaser doesn't feature fresh footage, but there's an all-new voiceover from the newly cast Raven, Max von Sydow, before Bran tantalises us with the line: "They have no idea what is going to happen." Book readers, I think he's talking to you.We start by seeing Jon Snow, alive and well, as the voiceover reads: "We watch, we listen, and we remember". However, the tranquility doesn't last long before a rapid fire montage of every moment that made you cry, scream and celebrate in Thrones, from Ned Stark's death to Joffrey's to the battle of Hardhome and beyond, all the while von Sydow sets the past in stone: "The past is already written. The ink is dry." And once that is all finished, we hear a deep-voiced Bran drop his impactful line. There's not a great deal to go on, but it all seems to suggest that past events can influence the future, even if they cannot be changed. Jon Snow died, that is for sure, but what happens next is completely unknown. HBO are at a disadvantage as they know the game is up, the 'secret' comeback is on, but Bran's line is enough to get us all wondering how it's all going to play out on our screens. Winter is coming, and after that is over, Thrones will begin.
