Buffy Alumni Emma Caulfield To Star In Marvel's WandaVision
From death in Sunnydale to suburban life in Westview.
WandaVision, the much hyped latest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is due to hit Disney+ on Friday (15 January), where it will fill that Mandalorian shaped hole in subscriber's lives. The cast, which already includes Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, and Kat Dennings, now has an exciting inclusion for Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans.
Emma Caulfield, the actress behind BTVS's beloved vengeance demon Anya, took to social media to confirm her involvement in the show. Accompanied by the show's trailer, Caulfield posted on her official Instagram: "Finally. I've been holding on to this news since last October! This was a thrill ride and I'm so honored I got to play. Thank you".
When asked by a fan which episode she was in, Caulfield confirmed she is featured "throughout". Though her character is yet to be confirmed, Caulfield joked the character is "better than Anya since I'm alive".
Buffy fans can attest that this is a good get for the series. Caulfield brought the character of Anya to life through talent for pathos and comic timing. Her entry into the MCU will be eagerly watched by fans old and new.
