7. Jenny Dies

When Angel turned evil, the show needed a moment to convince us that the old Angel was truly gone. Well, his brutal murder of Giles' girlfriend Jenny definitely ticked that box.

Not only is it a shock when he snaps her neck, but he places her corpse in Giles' apartment - complete with romantic music and roses - in a cruel attempt to torture the man even further. We now totally understood that this Angel (later known as Angelus) was 100% evil.

Jenny's death was also the first time that a member of the Scoobies bit the bullet. From now on, no one on the show was safe.
