In general, a smaller number of episodes should make for a more well-oiled and cohesive narrative, but even with the reduced count of eight episodes, Part 3 ends up finding itself stuck in a lull midway through the season that it struggles to break itself out of.

Nick and Sabrina go round in circles, Dorcas has three near-death experiences (some of which are actually fatal) and the coven is continually robbed of its power to such an extent that it just becomes exhausting to watch them go through it over and over again.

It's ironic that the show deals with time loops this season, because it ends up stuck in its very own.
