Comic-Con 2016: 11 Major TV Reveals You Need To Know
11. Teen Wolf And The Vampire Diaries Are Ending
Two popular, long-running genre shows announced that they were coming to an end at Comic-Con.
First up, MTV's Teen Wolf used its slot on Thursday to announce that the forthcoming sixth season would be its last. The show has been one of MTV's biggest non-reality series, and showrunner Jeff Davis said: "We're eternally grateful for the support we've received over these past six years and we're excited to take our brave fans on one last, thrilling adventure." It was also confirmed that Dylan O'Brien, who sustained injuries on the set of Maze Runner that have kept him out of action, would be returning.
The Vampire Diaries has been running even longer, and The CW revealed that Season 8 would be the one to end things for Stefan and Damon. The ratings have been declining slightly for a while now, and there had been rumours about it happening. It's not the end of TVD either, as spin-off The Originals is still ongoing for now.
