Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 9 Is Coming To HBO
Pretty, pretty good.
After five years away, Curb Your Enthusiasm is coming back to HBO.
Curb, which started on HBO back in 2000, ran for eight seasons and 80 episodes between then and 2011, when the 8th and (until now) final season aired. Starring Seinfeld co-creator Larry David as an over-the-top version of himself, the show followed him around with a tongue-in-cheek look at his everyday life that usually ended up with him getting annoyed at, well, everything really.
The series is one of HBO's big successes, picking up 38 Emmy nominations and a Golden Globe for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy. Speaking of the decision to bring the show back, HBO's President of Programming, Casey Bloys, said:
"Were thrilled that Larry has decided to do a new season of CURB and cant wait to see what he has planned."
As for David himself, he was rather keeping in character when he explained the return, saying:
"In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, I left, I did nothing, I returned.
There's no word yet on a potential air date for Season 9, with it seemingly in the early stages of development, but at this point maybe you can allow yourself to get just a little enthusiastic.
