Daredevil Season 3 has an official release date, with a new teaser trailer (which you can watch below) confirming the hotly-anticipated show will return to Netflix on October 19.

It was rumoured to be the date last week, after a tweet from Netflix Thailand was translated, but now it's official, and there's thankfully not too long to wait for the return of Matt Murdock, after a two-and-a-half year gap since Season 2.

The teaser doesn't give too much away in terms of plot, but it does double down on just how dark and grim this year is going to be, with a bloody and bruised Matt realising that the devil needs letting out, saying:

"You can suffocate evil. Starve it. Lock it behind bars. But it will find a way to come back even stronger. There's only one true way to end evil. To finish it for good. Let the devil out."

Given this season will be adapting Frank Miller's Born Again, with Vincent D'Onofrio returning as Wilson Fisk, Matt's speech here can be directly applied to the Kingpin himself.
