Long-time comic book fans will be well aware that Rip Hunter is a bit of a rascal, a bit of a scoundrel, a bit of a loveable rogue, and essentially a little bit like a time-travelling Han Solo. Whilst Arthur Darvills turn as Hunter has been decent so far, its maybe not quite encapsulated the true spirit of the comic book Rip completely just yet. Still, seeing his forbidden love with a fellow Time Master here was totally a comic book Rip Hunter move. Ballsy and confrontational when at work, then instantly melting into his one trues arms behind closed doors, that was a great moment to see well, until Rip and future-wife Miranda are totally caught with their proverbial pants down and ordered before their superiors.
