Doctor Who: 10 Best Moments Of The Eleventh Doctor

There are a few givens when it comes to Doctor Who fans. Each fan has their favourite Doctor, as well as their least favourite, and very little the newest incarnation does can ever shake their favourite from the top spot. Just as certain as their favourite Doctor, each fan has their favourite episodes, and within those episodes, there are moments that each actor who has ever piloted the TARDIS has made the fanbase take notice by saying "I am the Doctor". Each Doctor in NuWho has had that 'moment' that they became 'the Doctor' to fans. Christopher Eccleston, who started the revived series off, had it easiest, as many fans drew to him with his first on screen word - "Run!" - to Rose Tyler, as he was about to make a department store explode to destroy some display models brought to life by the Nestene Consciousness. The 10th Doctor, David Tennant, was able to become the Doctor at the end of his first Christmas Special, when he fought off a Sycorax invasion and declared "No second chances". He also gave a homage to his immediate predecessor with a last declaration of "Fantastic!" to Rose, in case she - and us - needed any final convincing. The newest Doctor, Peter Capaldi's 12th Doctor, seemed to take a bit longer for fans to warm to, perhaps it was the age (He was the same age as the First Doctor, William Hartnell, when filming began on his first season), perhaps it was his "attack eyebrows"? Or, just maybe, it was because he was a throwback to the Classic Age, take no nonsense, not the nicest person in the world, type of Doctor. However, by the end of Series 8, fans around the world have accepted him as the Doctor. Matt Smith, the 11th Doctor, had his run from Series 5 through Series 7, and while many fans rank him in the Top 3 of all time "favourite Doctors", he himself had some great moments that all fans, regardless of favourite, tend to enjoy. Take a stroll down memory lane to revisit 10 best moments of the Eleventh Doctor. Geronimo!
