Doctor Who: 10 Best Moments Of The Eleventh Doctor

Honourable Mention: An Adventure In Space And Time

While this show is not part of the Doctor Who canon, there is a scene that includes Matt Smith that, while no words are spoken, brings the entirety of Doctor Who full circle (at least, at the time). An Adventure In Space and Time is a TV movie about the origins of Doctor Who, with an actor portraying William Hartnell in the pivotal role and how it was originally created to be an educational show. During the end of the movie's run, while dealing with replacing Mr Hartnell due to his advancing age making it difficult to film scenes, a daydream like sequence occurs in which William Hartnell sees his distant future successor, Matt Smith, standing across the TARDIS console from him. They both share a brief smile, which allows Hartnell to know the show he helped create will be left in good hands. Yes, that isn't technically part of Doctor Who, but that short 30 second scene helped bridge Doctor Who from its humble beginnings to the future fan favourite it would become.
