Doctor Who: 10 Throwaway Lines That Would've Made Great Episodes

Just what WAS the Doctor doing with that long bow in Blink?

Considering how Mummy on the Orient Express was made out of a throwaway line at the end of The Big Bang, and how Moffat bought back €œthe woman in the shop€ as a plot point (eventually!), it would seem that he€™s bringing back a bunch of random adventures that the Doctor has only mentioned in the past. Brilliant. There€™s a treasure trove of lines that the series has dished out over the years. A modern sci-fi show will always be the best way to bring these sorts of weird jokes to life because they finally have producers which have more money than their predecessors who lined the streets begging for change. The Menoptera looked awful back in the 60s for this reason, but nowadays they could probably create a planet made of candy floss, or a race of evil grandfather clocks. In fact, fans should probably start looking back through the series more to find the teases and start getting on with doing those sorts of things. There€™s always a market for new Doctor Who and even if some of hats on this list couldn€™t be done in a full episode, nowadays there€™s novels, audio dramas and even minisodes to boot, so there€™s no reason all of these shouldn€™t be made immediately. Like, tomorrow. Get to it, Moffat!
