It's inevitable: the endless speculation about just who Peter Capaldi's Doctor will be. Doctor Who fans are intellectual, engaged, and creative, so of course they will be reading, writing, researching, and theorizing about the 12th Doctor. What is he going to wear? What is he going to be like? How will he react to so-and-so? And so on. I am no different. As soon as I watched the broadcast introducing Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor, I began to plan out my own version of the 12th Doctor. He was going to be
8. Suave
Kind of like an older James Bond, my version of Peter Capaldi's Doctor was going to be steely, handsome, and extremely smooth. He'd wear a dark, tailored suit and command attention whenever he walked into a roomwithout saying a thing. He'd win people over with raw charisma packaged in a deadly cool exterior. Where young James Bond (especially in the latest films) does a lot of running around and getting beat up when he's not busy being suave, my 'old James Bond' Doctor would deviate from that sort of physicality and would rather spend time being a mastermindplanning ten steps ahead of his enemy as to avoid the car chase. He'd walk into the car garage, calm and cool, just as his enemy drives in thinking he's in the clear.
