Since showrunner Steven Moffat€™s takeover of NuWho, heated debates among devoted Whovians have resulted in numerous sonic screwdrivers being whipped out and stripey scarves being tugged. It€™s clear that Moffat makes the fans mad a lot of the time, but some things just make Whovian blood boil. Don€™t even mention the Clara paradox to an anti-Moff! While the Moffat devotees may disagree, there are multiple reasons to be happy that he has decided to leave after 8 years at the helm. In many ways Moffat has given the show the fame it deserves, but perhaps not in the way some of the fans may have wished and that is probably precisely why he is curiously as famous as the show he helmed. With unsurprising twists and anti-climactic build-ups, Moffat€™s version of the show has taken the original concept of Doctor Who and mutated it into something between a teenage popstar and a clichéd love letter from deep space. Whether fans on either side of the debate want to acknowledge it, Moffat has put his own mark on the series.
