Doctor Hoot.

Ah, Doctor Who. It makes us laugh, it makes us cry and then it makes us laugh again... and usually that's all within the same scene! There's something about its far reaching format that appeals to just about everybody, whether you watch it for the sci-fi, the domestic drama, the comedy, the heartache, or all of the above. It's safe to say that our beloved characters have experienced their fair share of heartbreak over the past decade and sometimes it's much easier to dwell on those moments rather than focusing on the positive (after all, sad is happy for deep people!). Let's not forget, though, that there's been plenty of laughs over the last 10 years, too, and the revived series has seen an abundance of hilarious episodes which have served as the comic relief amidst the ongoing trials and tribulations of life as a coveted time traveller. There's laughter to be found in every episode, of course, but here's our pick of some of the Doctor's most popular side-splitting shenanigans to have graced our screens since his televisual comeback in 2005. The list kicks off with an episode that fans tend to laugh at more than anything, but it still felt wrong to exclude it. After all, sometimes all you need is a good laugh so look no further than these 10 funniest NuWho episodes to date. Because what's the point of being grown up if you can't be childish sometimes?
