So says Rose to her newfound frenemy Rodrick in the penultimate episode of Doctor Who Series 1.

But even she might be surprised to learn just how far those words have travelled in the decades since.

From anniversary specials to recent series finales and everything in-between, Bad Wolf has popped up in so many different places in Doctor Who – fittingly enough! And with Billie Piper returning to Doctor Who at the end of The Reality War, it feels like it might not be over, making this the perfect time for a refresher.

Here's every single time the iconic phrase has been heard, seen, or otherwise referenced in televised Doctor Who...

20. The Bad Wolf Scenario (The End Of The World)

Back when Russell T Davies was a master at seeding these references into the background of his episodes, in a way that you’d only ever notice them on a rewatch, most people won’t have given this line a second thought until revisiting this episode after watching the finale.

About half way through the episode, right at the start of the scene where the Doctor gives googly eyes to a tree, as the camera pans across the room, we can hear the Moxx of Balhoon saying “Indubitably, this is the Bad Wolf scenario” to the Face of Boe.

What does this mean? What is the Bad Wolf scenario? Does Russell even have an answer? Who knows! But it’s a fun start to these two words being seeded throughout the Doctor and Rose's lives.
