Doctor Who: First Official Still From "A Journey Through Space And Time"

By Mike Reyes /

The BBC have released their first official still of David Bradley (Harry Potter series, Who Series 7.2's Dinosaurs on a Spaceship) as William Hartnell in Mark Gatiss's "An Adventure In Space And Time". Slated to air later this year, the film is the story about how Sydney Newman (Brian Cox) and Verity Lambert (Jessica Raine) shepherded the creation of the soon to be 50 year old franchise. What's truly amazing about the still is the striking resemblance that Bradley shares with his historical counterpart. (See below for a comparison found on Hypable.) Even Gatiss himself had nothing but praise for Mr. Bradley's performance, which was initially reported by Digital Spy and quoted in the Hypable report. With the type of attention British television has been gaining in both Pop Culture and awards such as The Golden Globes, it'll be interesting to see if this becomes more than just something to keep the fans happy. An Adventure Through Space and Time was written and directed by Mark Gatiss, and will be aired on BBC Two. What do you think? Is Bradley's likeness a spitting image, or are there noticeable flaws that take you out of the moment? Let us know in the Comments section down below.
