Doctor Who Flux: 14 Best Easter Eggs You Might've Missed

That's it folks: Doctor Who Flux is complete. Finale episode The Vanquishers has just aired, and it was... well, it was certainly something!
The immediate reaction seems mixed, but that could change (for better or worse) in the coming weeks, when fans have had the time to properly stew on their thoughts. It was a dense episode in a very dense series, and no matter which way the general consensus ends up swinging, there's a ridiculous amount of story to discuss.
For now though, let's talk about some of the good stuff that came out of The Vanquishers, as well as Series 13 overall: the easter eggs.
Right from the off, showrunner Chris Chibnall wasn't shy about littering these latest Doctor Who episodes with some pretty awesome secrets, references, and nods, with everything from Rose Tyler, to the Brigadier, to Paul frickin' Hollywood getting some sort of mention. Isn't this show just gloriously bonkers?
So, let's run through the series from start to end, picking out some of those cheeky lines of dialogue, neat references, and other cool nuggets you very well might've missed.
14. Temperamental Nitro-9
One of the best easter eggs in the entire series can be found right at the start of episode one, The Halloween Apocalypse.
While the Doctor and Yaz are hanging upside-down after being captured by Karvanista, the Doctor mentions a "very temperamental" explosive called Nitro-9, something that she used to destroy Karvanista's droid guards.
Created by companion Ace and carried inside cans, Nitro-9 has been seen in the show before, and was first introduced in the Seventh Doctor serial Dragonfire.
From here, it was used several times - it proved powerful enough to destroy Daleks in Remembrance Of The Daleks, and even a Cyber-shuttle in Silver Nemesis.
Seems like the Doctor borrowed a few tricks from an old friend!
