13. The Multiple References To Rose
Sticking with The Halloween Apocalypse, the episode contains several direct nods to none other than Rose Tyler, companion of the Ninth and Tenth Doctors.
The first - and most obvious, although still possible to miss if you happened to look away from the screen at this moment - is the flavour text that introduces Vinder's outpost as "Outpost Rose".
Chibnall could've picked any word to go here, so it's clear he was aiming for a quick and easy easter egg. Unless, of course, there are some Bad Wolf-related shenanigans we don't yet know about, or maybe even a connection between Vinder and Rose, which has been speculated by fans.
Another Rose reference occurs later on, when the Doctor first meets Dan onboard Karvanista's ship. She tells him “nice to meet you Dan - run for your life!” echoing what the Ninth Doctor said to Rose during their initial meeting.
