1. The Creators Confirmed The Shared Universe... Jokingly
With so many Easter eggs popping up in the show, it's inevitable that those involved behind-the-scenes have been asked about the connections.
Vince Gilligan has previously stated that he loves the theory, as does Bryan Cranston. But it was those behind The Walking Dead who went further. During a panel for Fear The Walking Dead at last year's San Diego Comic-Con, the question arose of what caused the outbreak. Producer Gale Anne Hurd replied: "he meth from Breaking Bad, for sure."
Robert Kirkman, creator of the comics, quickly jumped in to add: "That’s canon, it’s confirmed."
Of course, the pair were just having a joke with fans at the convention... or were they?
