23. IZombie

Based on the Vertigo/DC comic of the same name, iZombie follows medical resident Liv Moore who, following the discovery that she has, in fact, become a zombie, takes a job as a coroner's assistant and consumes the brains of corpses she must autopsy.

iZombie's charm lies in the fact that it's one of the more peculiar comic book adaptations of the past decade. Like many on this list, it follows a procedural format but it's also nothing like your typical procedural drama.

It's inherently quirky and the YA tone of CW programming couldn't have been more welcome in this unorthodox but enjoyable adaptation.
