3. Madripoor Has Low-key Links To Captain America

Next lets briefly talk about Madripoor. Aside from visually being incredibly cool - almost like something you would see in Love, Death and Robots or Cyberpunk 2077 - it’s a well-loved comics location.

If we want to link things right back to Cap, the Madripoor Knights is worth noting because of its legendary crossover between Cap, Black Widow and Wolverine. Now I’m not saying Wolverine is going to appear any time soon, but it’s nice to know the history.

Madripoor was once a haven for Pirates, something that very much has a continued legacy visible in the present. The lawlessness and grit of Lowtown has a weird charm, and it certainly is convenient that Madripoor doesn’t allow extradition.

Essentially this location is all that is keeping Sharon safe, something that Sam doesn’t feel particularly great about. Seeing her on the run, stuck in a place like this seems to be a good motivation for him to make good on his promise of a pardon.
