Fear The Walking Dead: 10 Mistakes The Show Can't Afford

By Michael Potts /

1. Never Cross Over With The Walking Dead

The one, most crucial aspect of Fear that it must hammer down in the first season is that it's a completely different entity to TWD. AMC have obviously chosen to link closely to the series based on the 'spinoff' name, but they've got to produce a series that can stand on its own two feet. Easter eggs and brief hints or clues as to what may be going down in TWD would be cool, but there's a limit. At no point should any of the characters we already know enter Fear. For a start, they're on opposite ends of the country, but obviously Abraham, Rosita and Eugene came from further west than others in the main group. A cross over between the two shows is simply unnecessary, though both shows can co-exist if they're both written to a high standard without the need to piggy-back off each other.
