Fear The Walking Dead: Everything We Know So Far

By James Hunt /

4. The Crew

Being showrunner of The Walking Dead has been a little bit of a poisoned chalice, with Frank Darabont (S1) and Glen Mazzara (S2&3) each doing the job before current incumbent Scott Gimple took over for S4, although he does seem to be fairly settled in the role now. David Erickson is serving as show runner for this series, and brings plenty of experience from both writing and producing a fair amount of episodes of Sons of Anarchy. Once again in his Kevin-Feige-of-the-zombie-world role, Robert Kirkman will be executive producing the show, and has co-written the pilot with Erickson. Kirkman is the man responsible for co-creating the original Walking Dead graphic novels, and has been involved with the TV series from the very beginning. Joining him will be fellow TWD exec-producer Gale Ann Hurd, who also produced The Terminator and Aliens, which isn€™t a bad resume by anyone€™s standards. No writers aside from Kirkman and Erickson have been announced yet, and it remains to be seen whether they€™ll be scripting all six episodes, or if some of the regular Walking Dead writers such as Seth Hoffman or Angela Kang will pen an episode or two.
