The Episode
Joey invites his grandmother over to watch him on TV, only to discover his scene was cut. Ross tries to flirt with the pizza delivery girl, meaning the gang eat an inordinate amount of pie.
Why It's Great
Another great showcase for the hilarity to be found in Ross' social awkwardness, his attempts at flirting with Caitlin are painfully funny and tragically relatable for many viewers.
It's also another stellar example of how good the show is when it gets everyone inside Monica's apartment, and between Joey's episode, Monica's earrings, and Ross' failings there's plenty of witty banter between the group.
The undoubted highlight, however, which really elevates this episode, comes when Chandler appears on the videotape Joey had quickly and crudely recorded to appease his grandmother. "Ground control to Major Tom..."
