Futurama: 10 Best Zoidberg Moments
10. 500 Feet Zoidberg Vs. 500 Feet Bender
In the episodic style of Anthology of Interest I, we are given a trilogy of imaginary stories which are too wild to be real in the society of the 31st Century. One includes Bender as a 500-foot giant version of himself who befriends the regular sized Fry. His behaviour is too destructive for New New York so it calls for military action, but even they can’t take down the gigantic robot. The Professor believes he can take down Bender with an equally big monster so he enlarges Zoidberg to 500 feet tall.
Unfortunately, living a life of neglect and being bullied, Zoidberg abuses his powers and acts destructively. In a Godzilla style ending, he and Bender face off in a showdown, using much of the city properties to their advantage. Zoidberg is pushed into a vat of hot water but is able to arise, even angrier, and chops off Bender’s feet. He falls back and is impaled by The Empire State Building.
Zoidberg is victorious… but only for a moment, as the entire saga was just a figment of The What If machine.
