Futurama: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best
7. Season Six
Futurama's sixth season saw an unfortunate drop in quality when compared to previous seasons. After the show was picked up by Comedy Central and season five was split into four epic, feature-length specials, season six found the show returning to its regular format under the new network's watchful eye.
Though there are some solid episodes tossed in there, including the stylish "Mobius Dick" and the hilarious mind-switch episode "The Prisoner of Benda," season six's main issue stems from how uneven and overlong it ends up being.
At twenty-six episodes, some of the ideas fall flat on-screen, with the majority of the season's latest adventures playing like a re-hash of old episodes - only without the heart and intelligence. For every "A Clockwork Origin," there's a double dose of uninspired additions to the show like "That Darn Katz!" and "Fry am the Egg Man."
There's some humorous beats here and there, and a surprisingly sweet episode exploring the long friendship of the Professor and Zoidberg, but all told season six is Futurama's most uninspired chapter.
Best episodes: Mobius Dick, The Tip of the Zoidberg, A Clockwork Origin
