Game of Thrones' infamous unaired Pilot saw famed veteran actor Ian McNeice fall foul of the reshoot. The story was altered, actors and actresses were switched around, and the entire Pilot was filmed from scratch. McNeice was all set to be kept on for his role as Illyrio Mopatis - a short, important part - though unfortunately the new shooting schedule clashed with filming dates for his role as war-time Prime Minister Winston Churchill in Doctor Who. He was replaced by Roger Allam.
