Game Of Thrones: 10 Questions We’re Asking After 'Sons Of The Harpy'

By Michael Potts /

1. Who Is The Sons Of The Harpy Leader?

Every group has a leader, with some definite parallels being drawn between the Sons Of The Harpy and the Sparrows, with both sides aiming to clean up their cities and maintain traditions, albeit through bloody means. We've openly seen the High Sparrow, but the Sons' ring leader is yet to be seen. Could it be somebody we already know? Hizdahr zo Loraq is the man who spoke with Daenerys while the scene flashed back and forward between him and the Sons' wreaking havoc. Loraq wants the fighting pits re-opened. He pleads with Daenerys to honour the traditions, the same traditions that the Sons' are fighting for. Could his story be intertwined with theirs? Daenerys notes that Selmy isn't required to defend her while Loraq visited, and that she could defend herself against the supposedly weak man. What if Daenerys is very, very wrong, with Loraq the mastermind behind the Sons' operations? Another curveball would be that Daario Naharis is also involved with the Sons', as he too has expressed his desire to see the fighting pits re-opened, though that probably isn't a good enough reason to betray the Queen he's sleeping with, and every one of her top command, unless he's been playing her all along. It's very unlikely, but it might be worth thinking about. What did you make of the episode, and where do you think the series is headed?
