Game Of Thrones: 12 Big Questions That Must Be Answered In Season 7
12. Are We Done With Essos?
Although Westeros is the main setting for the series, for some time now we have been spending a considerable amount of time in the neighbouring continent of Essos, due to the fact that two main storylines have been taking place there.
However, Season 6 saw both of those come to an end, and begin to converge back towards Westeros. Arya's time in Braavos is over, and she's already in the Seven Kingdoms, while Daenerys has finally left Meereen and is headed home.
Does that mean we're now done with Essos? There are characters we've spent time with there, but not really strong enough to carry a plot line: does anyone care what Daario's doing in Meereen without Dany, or Jaqen being cryptic to himself in the House of Black and White?
No, I thought not. Still, it's a bit of a shame that we might not explore more of these worlds, because there was plenty of promise to Braavos in particular, while seeing more of Valyria (ok, it's technically an island off Essos now) would be great. Maybe that's where Jorah will end up?
