Game Of Thrones: 13 Missing Characters Who May Still Have An Important Part To Play

Miscellaneous Minor Characters

Before we begin properly, here are a handful of minor characters that spring to mind for having seemingly vanished from the narrative, but who (to me, at least), don€™t appear to have much of a role to play in the series future, though I€™d happily be proved wrong. Edric Dayne €“ The Lord of Starfall, Edric squired for Beric Dondarrion but went his separate ways from the Brotherhood Without Banners after Lady Stoneheart took command, and hasn€™t been seen since. Edric Storm €“ One of Robert€™s Bastards, Edric was sent to Essos by Davos Seaworth and Maester Pylos to prevent his execution at the hands of Melisandre. Podrick Payne €“ Having served as a travel companion of Brienne Of Tarth, Podrick was set to hang alongside her after being judged to be a €˜Lannister supporter€™ by Lady Stoneheart. He is not present with her when she appears to Jaime Lannister some time later, however. Hyle Hunt €“ In the same circumstances as Podrick Payne. Urswyck €“ One of the few living members of the Bloody Mummers mercenary group, Urswyck and a handful of men are supposedly heading for Oldtown. Stonesnake €“ A member of Qhorin Halfhand€™s patrol, Stonesnake is presumably dead, having been lost in the Skirling Pass, though this is unconfirmed. Dagmer €“ The Ironborn captain Dagmer supposedly continues to hold Torrhen€™s Square, though the current state of the North (mostly split between Stannis Baratheon and Roose Bolton) would suggest that this may no longer be true. Shagga €“ Dismissed by Tywin Lannister after the Battle of The Blackwater, Shagga and the other Mountain Clansmen of the Vale have apparently returned home. Greatjon Umber €“ Though not officially missing, the Greatjon has been held captive since the Red Wedding and seems all but forgotten in the grand scheme of things. Hallis Mollen €“ Tasked with returning Ned Stark€™s bones to Winterfell, it remains to be seen if Hallis was successful in his mission, though it seems unlikely. Olyvar Frey €“ Not present at the Red Wedding because of his loyalty to Robb Stark, it remains to be seen if the insignificant Olyvar will be seen again. Salladhor Saan €“ Having abandoned Stannis Baratheon due to a lack of payment for his services, Salladhor has presumably returned to piracy, unaware that Stannis has now acquired funds from the Iron Bank Of Braavos.
