That about sums it up really. 

Sandor Clegane is visibly capable of being injured, but the problem with that is he is exceedingly good at recovering. On top of that, he can explode a moth with one punch, hold grown men up in the air with one hand, and gut them with the other. Simply put, he is a machine. 

He has shown some emotional vulnerability at times, particularly with the stark girls, but when it comes time to fight he needs no preparation. Perpetually in a foul mood and huge to boot, his only physical disadvantage is that he makes a larger target for archers but, honestly, that's about it. 

While he is currently missing presumed dead, he is due to be reintroduced in Season 6 as spoiled by Ian McShane. The only question is what condition will he be in? His mental state may also be changed so don't go assuming that Clegane-bowl is definitely going to happen.
