Daenerys did something in Martin's outline that is STILL yet to happen in the final versions. She finally got around to, you know, seizing the Seven Kingdoms with an enormous army and a full-scale invasion of Westeros. She still marries Khal Drogo, though originally Daenerys sought revenge for Viserys' death. She waited for the time to strike and murdered Drogo before fleeing with 'a trusted friend' (Jorah) to amass an army and grow her dragons. Once she had the dragons, she believed she could convince the Dothraki to invade Westeros with her. There's still time...
