1. Tyrion Lannister
Initially introduced as the lascivious, drunken Imp, Tyrion has gradually got more and more interesting as his face has got more shaggy. He has developed like a fine wine from a soundbite spewing wildcard into most people's favourite character in Westeros, and for very good reason.
He might have been unfortunately saddled with the boring Meereen story, but he at least remained committed to offering some of the show's best lines and helping "master-mind" Dany's continued pursuit of power. And there's no better testament to his popularity and how well the show has put him over (to borrow wrestling parlance) than how great it's going to be watching him witness the death of his despicable sister.
Then again, if we don't get to see him riding into battle on the back of one of Dany's dragons, with the Queen herself and Jon Snow in tow, is it even worth it?
