Game Of Thrones: House Of The Dragon - 10 Reasons To Be Excited
4. Other New Characters...
House of the Dragon will introduce a host of new characters to the fold, from several houses that have yet to be introduced to viewers of Game of Thrones but will play an indispensable role in the wars to come.
Steve Toussaint will portray the Sea Snake, Lord Corlys Velaryon; described on HBO’s website as “the most famed nautical adventurer in the history of Westeros” while Rhys Ifans takes on the role of Otto Hightower, Hand of the King to Paddy Considine's Viserys I. Velaryon’s fleet and seafaring exploits along with Hightower’s venomous rivalry with Prince Daemon take centre stage in the conflict that plays out in House of the Dragon and are sure to provide more incredible soundbites and viewing.
Relative newcomers Fabien Frankel and Sonoya Mizuno will also portray low born valiant master swordsman Ser Criston Cole and Prince Daemon’s paramour Mysaria who rises to become Lady Misery, the Mistress of Whispers. House of the Dragon is clearly planning to continue Game of Thrones’ wildly popular ensemble cast approach with different storylines playing out simultaneously. Anyone tuning in can expect the same diverse selection of interconnecting plot lines involving the same vast range of complex characters that made the original such a megahit.
