Game Of Thrones Preview: What To Expect From Season Finale Mother's Mercy

6. Sansa Bids For Freedom

Sansa€™s had an extremely rough time of it this season, even by her own miserable standards, after being married off to Ramsay Bolton, raped, and having to see the flayed remains of the only cause of hope she had. Will things get any better in the season finale? €œIf I€™m going to die, let it happen while there€™s still some of me left.€ Those are Sansa€™s words in the trailer, but who is she speaking to. Ramsay is surely too busy with the impending approach of Stannis to be paying much attention to his bride at the moment, so it could be she€™s pleading for mercy with Theon/Reek. She looks pretty startled in the image above, so so maybe it's someone she didn't expect to be seeing. It€™s difficult to imagine Sansa actually dying, so instead it could be that Theon (re)grows a pair and helps her either get revenge, or escape. She still has the weapon she swiped a couple of episodes ago, while the distraction of Stannis marching on Winterfell may give her enough of an opportunity to make a successful getaway, with help awaiting outside the walls.
