Game Of Thrones Season 5: 10 Spoilerific Scenes We Can’t Wait To See

By Barry Quinn /

8. The Reunion Of Brienne And Jaime

While many want to see this scene, and the surrounding arcs, manifest in the show it isn€™t entirely certain as how much of it will make the small screen or indeed whether any actually will at all. Certain parts - i.e. all those involving Lady Stoneheart - probably won€™t make the mix; after all Michelle Fairley and director Alex Graves have both said that Catelyn is dead. Many fans of course think they€™re deliberately being misleading, so it's clearly an issue for interpretation. The Lady Stoneheart arc will probably be canned until it gains more prominence in the sixth novel - that way the show runners can justify bringing Michelle and Catelyn back. So for now don€™t expect to see her. The omission of Lady Stoneheart ultimately leads to new material for Brienne - though quite what that is nobody knows. Brienne comes upon Lady Stoneheart€™s camp in the novels and later meets a noose because of her. When next she appears she is alive (thankfully) but behaving rather strangely€ And she€™s setting up an obvious trap for Jaime. Whatever the case Brienne and Jaime are likely to be reunited. Their€™s is a chemistry quite unalike to any other pairing and one which is riveting to watch. So expect Lady Stoneheart to have some sway over the upcoming scenes, or none at all.
