Game Of Thrones Season 5 was met with mixed reviews from fans and critics alike, though that's nothing new for hit TV shows in a world where it's impossible to please everyone. Some enjoy the intense fighting scenes and would happily spend ten hours of the season enveloped in all-out warfare, while others would gladly enjoy swathes of the intense politicial discussion that the show prides itself on, while there's a growing minority who just want to see the White Walkers freeze the lot and be done with it. There's a happy medium in there somewhere, and while the first halves on Thrones seasons tend to be slower affairs, the later episodes are renowned for their shock value, dramatic twists and big-budget battles. In that sense, Season 5 stuck to the script. No, the earlier episodes probably didn't live up to the extremely high bar set by previous years, but the season was certainly steered back into classic territory with its final cluster of showings. The ten, hour-long episode runs offer up a perfect amount of time to get things done, and make for a neat frame to fill with jaw-dropping moments, and while it all tends to blur into one fantastic story, here is Season 5, rated in order. But do you agree?
