Now for all you can speculate and expect a massive final battle between X and Y, this is a very rare occasion of 'The Great War' actually being mentioned. It may even be the first time we've specifically heard it mentioned by one of the cast. That small phrase itself is enough to ignite massive debates over what the war could entail. I think the only dead-cert participants are the White Walkers. They've been built up this entire time and their story is leading towards something huge. I really think they could finally make the explosive move south of the Wall in this season, and that would change the entire game. The show still has some time left to run, but things definitely seem to be heading towards an incredible climax. Prepare to hear more 'Great War' chatter as the seasons roll by.
