This is a more indirect Game Of Thrones rumour, but one that could have huge consequences on how we watch the show. Apple are said to be looking at ways to grab a foothold in the streaming world and Time-Warner may be their entry route. The tech giants are looking for ways to expand their Apple TV service, and acquiring Time-Warner could certainly allow them to do just that. Time-Warner owns HBO, so in effect, Apple could control a lot of what goes on with Thrones' distribution. It's unknown how long this whole deal could take to got through, with Apple's plans said to have been on hold, but you'd expect them to jump on the streaming bandwagon soon enough, with Netflix rapidly growing and commanding the market right now. World domination is on the cards for Netflix, but can Apple offer up some competition? With Thrones on their roster, they could.
