Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Characters Who Can’t Die
...even though they probably will.
"Ned Stark won't die. Sean Bean's the main star, obviously." Dead. "Ah, it's so nice to see Robb Stark, his mother and his pregnant wife at the wedding. Ooh I like that violin song." Dead. "Shireen is the sweetest child ever, she'll be a great princess." Dead.
Would you like me to continue? Each season begins in high spirits because generally it's the longest time away from the death of a fan-favourite, an important player of the game, or an 'unkillable' character with regards to the plot. By the time Episode 10 rolls around, we're usually so emotional bankrupt to care about the next victim, until Season 5 punched us right in the feels with a dagger to the heart for Jon Snow.
He was one of three 'unkillable' characters in Season 5, but there you have it; his bloodied body laying dead in the snow. He's definitely dead, because "dead means dead," right HBO? We TOTALLY believe you. Really. The following list contains 10 characters who are vital to certain areas of the plot, and should certainly make it through to Season 7 and beyond...though 'should' means nothing when it comes to the twisted mind of George R.R. Martin...
10. Cersei Lannister
She can't die, right? Not yet. Cersei actually finds herself as a strong contender to die in Season 6, with plenty of speculating suggesting Tommen's place in the world may be under threat. Once he goes, nothing is stopping Cersei's death, but I really think it's too soon for her to leave the show for good.
For starters, her scenes with every other character are always electric. Whether it be a vengeful, fiery, conflicted scene with Jaime, a razor-sharp political minefield with the High Sparrow, or an all-out war of words with Margaery, Cersei's scenes always sizzle. If she dies, King's Landing loses the runaway greatest source of drama there. She's still essential.
