Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Niggling Worries

4. CGI Inconsistencies

It's another point unrelated to the story itself, but with the dragons becoming a growing force in the world, I can't help but feel like the show needs to plough more into its TV-standard special effects if they are to look convincing. The show has proven it can work miracles with effects despite lacking Hollywood blockbuster money, but those moments are inconsistent. The Wall always looks glorious and the Battle of Hardhome was a genuinely incredible piece of cinema, but Daenerys atop Drogon just came across very flimsy in comparison. The fire-breathers are set to feature more heavily in future episodes, meaning the effects game needs to be upped. Can those visuals match the ambition of the writers?
