Game Of Thrones Season 6: 5 Ups & 5 Downs From Trailer 2
The dead are coming. And so is repetition.
Just when you thought there was no topping the first Game of Thrones season 6 trailer, HBO land a haymaker punch reminding everyone that there's more to the show than pouring over Jon Snow theories.
We're now getting to the business end of the show, with only a couple of seasons left until everything comes to a head on fields in the shadow of the Iron Throne (probably) and whoever survives the War of The Houses is forced to come together and try and deal with the dead. Because, as new MVP Davos says in his most eminently quotable way - make no mistake, the dead ARE coming.
Though narrative details remains fairly guarded (bravo, HBO), there's been more than enough in the two trailers so far to feed the rumour mill and suggest that we're in for a stunning, breathless ride. But what specifically were the major take-aways from the new trailer and how it maps out season 6, and what issues have already been teased for the forthcoming epic?
First, the positives...

5. Lots And Lots And Lots Of Action
Obviously the pre-release marketing campaign (and the response driven by fans since the end of season 5) has been primarily (okay, exclusively) focused on the "death" of Jon Snow. Even the first trailer was distinctly slanted towards that key issue - understandably - but now we have some more idea of what else is actually happening in Westeros.
Under the fog of depression around Snow's murder by his fellow Crows, it would be easy to ignore the fact that every other character arc in the show is gathering pace. We have Sansa's vengeance, Cersei's vengeance, Jaime's vengeance... Basically, there's lots of vengeance. We'll also see massive strides forward on the road to both the war for the Iron Throne and the war for existence, and an embarrassing treasure trove of stories for every remaining major character.
In short, this trailer refocused on the wider show, launching from Snow's death, but talking more to the other big stories forthcoming this season.
