8. The Kingsguard Cloaks ​

Although they just appear to be two random (if highly skilled) Targaryen guards (the sigil on their armour gives that much away, even without Ned's words about their prince), the two men Ned Stark and friends fight against are actually a part of King Aerys II Targaryen's Kingsguard.

Generally a Kingsguard is easily identifiable by the white cloak that he wears, but neither of these two were wearing such fetching attire. However, in the background once the fight breaks out, you can just about spot their two cloaks lying on the ground.

Aside from confirming their status, this also calls back to some wise words once offered by Bronn: "A cloak slows you down in a fight."
