What exactly was up with Tyrion standing outside the sex boat's sex room in the shadows pulling faces at the sounds (and smells) coming from within?

Was he getting his kicks from listening to the Targaryens boinking? Was he upset it wasn't him? Was he plotting something sinister? It's all very confusing, but it definitely made him seem a little creepy.
